FAQ

  • The glasses do not start up/don’t turn on:

    • Ensure that the battery is charged (see Epson Moverio Instructions).

    • Hold the slider for 3-4 seconds in the left position. The green LED will turn on. It takes about 45 seconds until the device is in operation mode, fully booted and ready for use (see Epson Moverio Instructions).

    • Batteries are not charged. Make sure that the batteries are fully charged before using the device (see Epson Moverio Instructions).
  • The charging of the batteries takes a long time or does not work:

    • Turn off the glasses to charge the battery at a faster rate (see Epson Moverio Instructions).

    • If the battery is fully drained it will take approximately 6 minutes for the green LED to start flashing - indicating the device is charging after you connect it to the supplied charger.
  • I see nothing, a dark screen, or partial screen in the glasses:

    • Adjust the fit of the glasses so that the center of the lenses is located in the middle of your focus point. Use the included headband and ear pads to create a more customized fit.
  • I see a blurred image:

    • If you wear glasses, try wearing your prescription glasses under the device.

    • Get customized individual glasses for the supplied extra frame (RochesterOptical.com)
  • I see a white screen in the glasses:

    • Make sure that the glasses are connected with the touchpad before turning them on.
  • I try to charge the battery but the charging indicator does not light up or is not on:

    • It may take up to 6 minutes until the blue light starts flashing.
  • Only a portion of the screen is filled in in the glasses:

    • Use the +/- buttons in the far right corners of the glasses to determine the best screen capture size for you.

    • Using the touchpad reposition the screen (tap and hold then drag) with the cursor into the best viewing position for you
Lock the touchpad, bringing the slider (on the touchpad) in the right position.

    • Lock the touchpad, bringing the slider (on the touchpad) in the right position.

    • To unlock the touchpad slide the slider quickly to the left (Note: Do not hold in the left position as this will put the glasses
into standby) (see Epson Moverio Instructions).
  • After adjusting the zoom level and the screen cutout everything got readjusted to different settings:

    • You have accidentally changed the settings due to forgetting to lock the touchpad. See previous point and lock the touchpad.
  • The battery lasts only 3-4 hours:

    • Turn the unit into sleep mode while not in use. To do so, slide the slider slightly to the left. To get the device back into operating mode, again push the slider slightly to the left. The operating time will be about doubled.
  • The glasses and the intraoral scanner do not connect:

    • Make sure both devices are logged in to the same WiFi network.

    • Some scanning units are set to “static”. In the network settings you can change the allocation of IPv4 to "automatic". Ask your CEREC or IT specialists for additional help if needed.

    • If you are connected via your own WiFi network in your practice, make sure that it is not an unsecured network with a guest access because guest unsecured access is NOT supported. Use the provided TPLink Nano Router and plug it in to your scanning device.

    • Make sure that you use the same IP address that appears in the glasses in the eyeCAD-connect home screen that you entered when setting up your eyeCAD-connect software on the scanning unit (see eyeCAD-connect instructions).
  • The image in the glasses is only visible time-delayed:

    • If you are connected via your own WiFi network practice, try to change reception- and signal quality, for example, change the settings of the router or move it to a different location.

    • We recommend using the supplied TPLink Nano Router.
  • After a successful start the transmittal fails:

    • See points above ‘The image in the glasses is only visible time-delayed’
  • After connecting to the Nano Router, the scanning unit can no longer find the patient database:

    • The location of your patient’s data is on a central server, but the scanning unit is integrated by WiFi in your network. Change the location to the local hard drive via the configuration menu to their scanning platform. Later, copy the data to your server.
  • The eyeCAD-connect software does not start on the scanning unit:

    • Javais not installed: Start the Java installation with the file supplied on the USB flash drive (see eyeCAD-connect instructions).

    • The program can not find the registry file, or it is not intact:  Delete the entire eyeCAD-connect folder containing all files and copy them again from your USB flash drive to the scanning unit. You do NOT need to install Java again.
  • After clicking "Connect" on the scanning unit and on the glasses there is no connection:

    • Close eyeCAD-connect on both the glasses and the CEREC unit and start anew: It is vital to always maintain this startup order: First click on "Connect" in the glasses, and only when the black screen with the message "Waiting for connection" appears click on "Connect" on your scanning unit. .
